Death of a Blu

Well, it's dead. The atty's are still good and I'll use them with my 306A batteries, but the Blu batteries both died within a week of each other. Probably from overwork!

I don't think I'll bother replacing them. My 901 is still doing fine and the 306A is close enough that I can't justify (in my own mind) the expense of ordering new parts for my beloved Blu.

Rest in peace, Blu. You were a grand experience.

Okay so I made a mistake and didnt let one of my atty's completely dryout when I was doing a routine cleaning, (For those of you who have not cleaned your atty, I suggest you do so, makes a big difference in vaping). So I went ahead and ordered two new atty's, which finally arrived. Right away there was something that caught my attention. It might be just me, or did anyone else happen to notice that the blu atty's wicks are more absorbent?

I love to drip, its the only way I use my blu. ...

I had never even heard of electronic cigarettes until the end of May this year. I was perusing a bittorent website called isohunt when I saw a banner ad for blu. As a smoker it definitely peaked my interest so I did some research and learned a little more about e-cigs and then ordered my blu.

I realize that a lot of you were already into e-cigs before blu came out and part of that culture. Yes, the world of electronic cigarettes seems like a burgeoning culture to me which is part of the ...

Was out last night, so had quite a few cigs while drinking. Woke up to a bit of a sore throat, nothing uncommon. Coughed a few times and hopped in my car to go buy some more. I knew my Blu cigs were coming today, but I couldn't wait 3 hours without any nicotine.

On my way home, I flicked my ashes off out the window--and thanks to the new FSC cigs, a burning piece of tobacco found its way to MY EYELID. After regaining my composure, I took another drag, and in mid-inhalation, I sneezed. ...

Well the wait is finally over, I have aquired my first e-cig. So far i am impressed with it and well satisfied. My one only issue is how the vapor reduces as time goes on. yeah i still get the flavor and it seems that it still has some liquid left, but it just makes a pathetic amount of vapor. Also when i first put a cartridge on and take a drag or two, some of the liquid comes out of the cartridge and into my mouth. Sometimes it will be a little of the juice, some times a fair amount. is this ...

Has anyone used the 30 day return policy that Blu has? I was wondering what kind of experience you had.(Time, prompt repayment, etc) I'm thinking about getting a Volcano kit. I'm not entirely happy with my batteries cutting out after 2 sec of a drag, and the carts are horrible. I've had at least 6 carts that didn't even last as long as ONE regular cigarette.

When I do a drag on my Blu the LED stays lit for maybe 4 sec and goes out. If I continue to drag it will relight. I've completely charged both batteries and get the same result. Okay, of course it's behaving now, remaining solid blue, so I'll have to get the specifics later when my other battery drains. Also, I will try to use the USB port on the back of my Mac, I just would rather not, because I like to see my blucig charging.

It has satisfied my craving for an actual cigarette but I can not smoke it like a normal cigarette which will be a problem when I am out drinking.

If you are going to be ordering a starter kit from blu and want to get it sooner you should order low or no nicotine carts.....the med and high nicotine carts are very popular and with such a demand for those carts you will be waiting longer to get your starter kit.....so if you want it sooner....go with the no nicotine carts and just buy your own liquid and refill the carts yourself.

I noticed that I don't get the buzz from the blu cigs that I do from analogs. I saw that a lot of you, add liquid tabacco. does that help? Also, does it affect the "bad stuff" in analogs?
Okay, obviously when you use a blucigs cartridge, the atomizer pierces the foil and allows you to enjoy your vape. The only thing is, I've noticed foil on the atomizer a few times. It may be perfectly acceptable, but I may just be over-twisting the cartridge after I install it. Anyone else have this issue? Obviously, it's easily removed, especially in-between cart changes.

...but there is a letter on the main page saying any order placed still comes with an expected 4-6 week shipping time. This is bullshit. I was going to order a ton of spare addys and a couple batteries to have on hand. Now it looks like I am going to give up on Blu altogether and make a switch to the Dragon or the EVO as my main e-cig. I cannot stress enough how shitty this company is. Looks MIGHTY familiar, doesn't it???

WAIT--- It gets BETTER....

Atomizers are $4.50 each and batteries are $7.99 ......

...and the PCC, WITH cable, is $6.00

After close inspection, the atomizers are a BIT different....

First of all I have to thank Blu's advertisement for turning me and my wife onto E-cigs. After waiting so long for my order I have puchased a couple of other types of e-cigs and I have to say I am very happy with the one I have(super-mini or similar, has no name on it) and I'm sure I'm gonna love the joye 510's that are on their way(ordered tonight from innovapor.com). I have a nice collection of juice because bottom line, Ive had plenty of time to order it, recieve it, and try it out since 6/12.

I just realised that there was another issue that likely affected all Canadian orders that got UNshipped. When Blu changed my status to "Shipped" on June 30th and charged my credit card the exchange rate was 1.1904, so I was charged $77.32 CDN on my card. When they later bumped me back to "pending" and refunded my card the exchange rate was 1.1334, so I was refunded only $73.62 CDN!

It's not much money but just really pisses me off on principle!

First off, the presentation was AWESOME. Also, my Starter Kit came with TWO atomizers, not one that I was told I would. I am very excited that I have two.

Anyone else get this?

Dear blu affiliates,

Due to the incredibly overwhelming demand for blu and our pursuit of a great customer service experience, blu will not be taking orders from the 7th to the 21st of July. This will give us time to clear our backlog and ease customer frustration. While we know pausing new orders will inconvenience our affiliates, we hope that it will greatly decrease the number of pending sales from your customers. This will also help to reduce cancellations ...

Hey folks, is there anyone else here who lives in Canada? Anybody had an order successfully delivered to Canada from Blu? I'm a little worried about the customs issue. I've heard a bunch of worrisome tales. The way the Blu product is put together sets it a clear head above the crowd, certainly above the makes that are available in Canada - so I'm really hoping I can use Blu - but if I have to, I'll try another brand.

If you're from Canada, please share your shipping experience with us!

Well I just thought I'd say that my first two or three pulls from a new cart are real good(throat, taste, vapor, etc.) But then if I continuously vape-on, the pulls are much weaker and not as good... That being said if I wait like 3-5min between each pull it seems to be more like (but not equal to) the first couple...

This is with stock blu carts...

I am hoping that with aftermarket liquid I will get those initial results continuously instead of having to wait!

Anyone got a take?

I am seeing everyone trying all these vapor flavors....I am curious being a Marlbro Menthol Lights smoker (ordered similar from Blu) when you guys vape a different flavor than what you normally smoked anolog, do you still feel "satisfied" since its still nicotine? I mean my GF smokes Ultra Lights (not menthol) and I can't stand them.

Am I explaining this properly to understand what I mean?
