Blu with KR808D cartomizers?

I found from altsmoke a 510 to KR808D adapter. So basically use a 510 or blu battery with cartomizers. Is this something anyone has tried, or thoughts on anyone who has used cartomizers vs cartridges. I'm still a noob but people who use cartomizers swear by them as much better then cartridges. Thoughts or info appreciated. Thanks

Hi Everyone! I don't know if I'm the first to find these or not (forgive me if this is old news), but I think I found the perfect stopper for used Volcano/Blu carts!

I'm a Volcano owner and still a relative newbie (vaping 2 months), as I'm still going through my pre-filled cartridges. Once I'm done trying the rest of the flavors, though, I will finally be ready to give refilling with juice a try. Since I'm going to have about 100 used cartridges, I definitely wanted to use those rather ...

I bought two packs of these filters several months ago from Lowes. I seen them laying around and decided to give them a shot at stuffing my 306a carts that I use on my Volcano. Each pack comes with 12 filters that are 4" x 12". Of what I have used, and what I see is left, these two packs (or even one pack) looks like a lifetime supply.

I like that they are easier to make for the 306 carts than Fluval. The thickness of these filters look like the perfect thickness for the carts. ...

Well it is done I posted pics in the other topic but these are much better, also I took off the green label and was pleasantly surprised that is was metal underneath I think it looks pretty sweet. As for the performance, BAD ASS!!! Great flavor, great vapor, great throat hit, just great. I've used it for about two days and everything seems good and the cart is still going strong. I plan on refilling the cartomizers just to see how easy it is. But if your interested here the parts list:

Alright, we all know what fluval is by now, and saw the video about how to do it. It works, but there's ONE thing that consistently irritated the hell out of me with it, getting stuck on the atomizer.

The way the guy in the fluval video has you trim it, is so that the trimmed end is against the metal mesh part of the atomizer, this sucks. Makes your atomizer look fuzzy. And it made me spend 20 minutes with a finely bent paperclip cleaning crud out of an atomizer. The crud? Gunky fluval. ...

Okay, I know that the site is not accurate in saying that the cartridges last as long as they do-

From experience from those who use these as a "cig" and not constantly changing the flavors...

How long would one cartridge traditionally last?

Does this vary by brand/ manufacturer/ flavor?

If I normally smoke a pack a day - would I be using 2 cartridges a day? Or am I off here?

If the Blu is always active, should I remove the cartridge when not "vaping"? ...

I don't know how I could mess this up, it seems simple enough, but for the life of me it feels like I'm doing something wrong with the dripping. I've tried 2 drops on the outside of the addy, 1 drop inside/1 drop out, 2 drops outside, 2 drops outside 1 drop inside... no matter what I do, I cannot get more than 2, if I'm lucky, 3 good drags. After that, the taste turns harshly metallic even though I can still get vapor, but vapor production isn't what it should be either... I don't think anyways. ...

I also ordered some juice. I was wondering if any other carts were compatiable with Blu as I heard they are rather small. Oh cheers for opening this forum I couldn't get an answer on the ECF forum bad me for askin about Blu lol

Okay just got my starter kit and I have some issues with the product.

1>I cant really detect any flavor except for the menthol. No cig flavor no other of the

    fun flavor carts.

2>Maybe one hit from each cart that feels remotely like a cig.

3>very poor vapor production.

I've been reading throught mulitple forums that provide multiple tips tricks etc. however the language is definitely designed for an e-cig alum, and not a poor analog lifer like myself.

Perhaps a 510 atomizer, as I've heard that these atomizers work better than the Blu with vapor production (is this even true, or am I talking out the side of my neck?), but what else?

This is not really a mod that anyone can do, at least not without tons of effort, i certainly cant do it. However I was reading NateDogg's straw mod and thinking to myself, the reason the cart's crap out so fast and vapor really sucks is because of the airflow, which is obvious enough. As you start to vape, the air has no way to reach the bottom of the wool. A few times I've taken hits from my BluCigs then taken off the cart to see vapor still trapped inside the wool. I was just thinking that ...

Here is the video to give you an idea of how it is done. It is talking about a 510 cart but works for all carts.

I'm afraid I might have hurt my attys though. I've been reading through the forums and noticed some posts about the primer. When I got mine, I popped on the attys with the blank cartridge and took some non inhale puffs. There was some smoke/vapor so I figured that I was burning off the primer.
Ok so newb!! Now that thats out the way here are my newb questions.

I ordered my blu and have been hitting it hard for about 3 days now, and noticed a few things.

1. The carts don't last at all.. or so I think, I can still get vapor from them, but it's definately dropped off.

2. They all have the same wierd taste..!?!

3. When charging.. the pack blinks, never turns off completely.

4. While toking the led on the tip of the battery blinks slowly and intermittently?

I've been playing around with Fluval and Lipton pyramid tea bags (PTB) as filler for the pen-style 801 cart for my Janty Stick and Blu. I'm trying 3 different juices in both materials to see how they compare.

It's really hard to be scientific about it, but I can give my first impressions. Today, I used JC Tennessee Cured low nic juice. My overall impression so far is that the PTB works better for the Blu, but Fluval works better for the 801. For some reason, the vapor's really bad and ...

First off, I am very happy with my Blu. The fact the case doubles as a charger is a fantastic feature. The only problem I am having is the amount of vapor I seem to get. The first draw seems to hit very very nicely with little effort and enough vapor to satisfy me. I go to draw again and almost nothing. I've tried drawing to the point where my head is about to explode and still don't get much. Yet many reviews and videos I've seen have a decent about of vapor (less then what I need to enjoy). ...

many people have been using what is called Fluval to replace wool in e-cigarettes.

its a fish filter made out of polyester. safe for fish, safe enough for me.

here's a video on somebody refilling the 901 with it.

fluval comes in different densities I believe, I would suggest the higher density filters for optimal liquid storage, and flow due to the lack of sponge effect caused by squeezing the wool into a much smaller space than it originally took.

for blus specifically, ...

I curretly smoke menthol cigs like Camel Crush and also smoke Djarum Cherrys (they are cloves) and Djarum Lights (vanila-ish flavor). I was wondering if anyone who smokes these can tell me if the blu cherry, menthol, or vanilla flavors are anything likes these? Or if they could compare the classic tobacco flavor to any cig? I have jacked these pics from another site but thought they might be useful to someone trying to get more bang for thier buck. I have not yet tried it but the logic is there so I bet it will work at least a little bit.

So there is the basic idea. It probably could be used for any type of cart if you tweak the straw just right. Good Luck and happy Vaping.

I know this product is relatively new and so is this forum, but since this forum is relatively model specific; has anyone come up with any mods? specifically a usb passthru would be cool, or where can we get one that will work.

Hey all,

Got my blu and am loving it, but the issues I'm experiencing seem to be more battery related than anything else. Overall I'm quite happy with the cig so far - it's actually even nicer than I expected as long as it keeps working, but I want to document my battery experiences to see if they are normal...

According to the instructions, the batteries should last through about two carts. Unfortunately, with casual use of the ecig (meaning a puff every few minutes or so), I'd say ...

Hey all - good news/bad news.

Got my friend a blu for his b-day and it arrived the other day. First 24 hours he loved it - worked flawlessly, good vapor, etc. Now he's running into some problems unfortunately, and it started upon charging it.

For some reason, after charging in the pack, if he goes to smoke it, he gets a few good puffs out of it and it dies. He's tried switching out the batteries and the atomizer (he did receive two) with no luck. The USB charger doesn't appear ...
