Probably the only person NOT upset by the delays...

Post  moonbean on Thu Oct 15, 2009 7:55 am

I just can't get too upset with Blu for the delays. I ordered right before they announced the problem with their PCC. I still don't have my starter kit. I haven't canceled my order and won't.

Yes, it is frustrating to have to wait for something you want. I don't see this delay as entirely Blu's fault though. Not only are they trying to provide a safer PCC (which by the way, other companies that sell the same PCC are starting to come forward with "new, improved" PCCs, ones that shut themselves off after charging rather than overcharging or draining their battery, don't want to call anyone out, but I've seen at least one company on this forum say that), there has also been an insane rise in demand. Lots of retailers have been out of stock on the most popular starter kits for close to 2 weeks now.

Then there is the matter of the long Chinese holiday which has affected many retailers. Not only did they run out of stock, they have had to wait extra long for new shipments.

So I can't be mad at Blu. I know they had some serious issues before this, but this isn't completely their fault. I don't even have my Blu yet, and I am defending them. I bought a Volcano right before they ran out of stock and have been sharing it with the hubby. I like the model, and am looking forward to having mine with the blue led. I actually ordered a Blu battery which should be here today. I can wait on my starter kit.

I would be interested in seeing a direct comparison between a Blu and a Volcano, regarding performance... Wink

I will happily share my thoughts on the comparison when I receive my blu. Maybe I'll even make a video, though I don't have the presence or video making genius of Nikko Smile

I totally agree. I ordered a Blu starter kit on 10/19. I'll see what comes of it and from what I've read on here and other places, if I don't like it for one reason or another... it would be easy enough to "mod" it.

The point is that I made an order and I'm not going to revoke it just because of a delay.

P.s. Great forum! Lots of good info.
